Project Accountant
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an advantage.
- 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in donor-funded projects.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with funding agreements.
- Monitor expenditures, process payments, and maintain financial records.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, donor requirements, and organizational policies.
- Prepare financial reports for donors, management, and auditors.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Work with project teams to ensure cost-effective financial planning.
