Internal Auditor

Requirements
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field from a reputable university.
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in auditing, accounting, compliance, or risk management.
- Experience in an NGO or CSO space.
- Professional Certifications such as ACCA, ICAN, CPA, or other relevant accounting certifications.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and audit standards.
- Proficient in using legal research tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Key Responsibilities
Risk Assessment & Audit Planning
Conducting Audits
Prepare clear and comprehensive audit reports
Monitor the organisation’s adherence to internal controls and policies
Fraud detection and prevention
Support External Audits and Regulatory Reviews
Advice management on improvements in internal controls and governance.
Participate in projects or system implementations to ensure control considerations are included.
