African Center partners Global Call for Contributions on Asset Recovery and Development Outcomes

The World Bank Group’s Office of Suspension and Debarment (OSD), Sanctions Board Secretariat, Legal Vice Presidency, and the Stolen Asset Recovery Initiative (StAR), together with partners, have announced the 3rd Symposium on Supranational Responses to Corruption, themed: Turning Illicit Gains into Development Outcomes, scheduled to hold in Vienna, Austria, on 9–10 November 2026.

Scholars, practitioners, and experts across development, law, finance, diplomacy, academia, government, international organizations, the judiciary, civil society, and the private sector are invited to submit proposals for papers and contributions to be presented at the symposium.

Contributors are invited to submit proposals on topics including:

  • Asset recovery and return mechanisms
  • Foreign bribery penalties and restitution
  • Transparency and accountability frameworks
  • Management of recovered assets
  • MDB financial remedies
  • Technology and innovation in anti-corruption systems
