As part of its activities to commemorate International Anti-Corruption Day (IACD) 2025, the African Center will host a special virtual dialogue themed:
“Asset Recovery for the Next Generation: Why Reclaiming Stolen Billions Matters for Youth.”
This event highlights the urgent need to safeguard Africa’s development by ensuring that stolen public assets, often siphoned through illicit financial flows, are traced, recovered, and reinvested into sectors that directly impact young people. Given that youth make up the largest demographic across the continent, the discussion underscores how effective asset recovery can transform opportunities in education, innovation, employment, and social development.
The session will feature Hon. Ayodele Olawande, Honourable Minister for Youth Development, as Guest Speaker. His address will explore how young people can drive integrity, accountability, and public-sector reforms while benefiting from resources reclaimed for national development.
