
As global conversations on asset recovery, transparency, and anti-corruption implementation continue to shape international policy discussions, the African Center for Governance, Asset Recovery and Sustainable Development is pleased to announce that its written submission to the 17th Session of the UNCAC Implementation Review Group has been officially published by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
The submission, titled “Enhancing Asset Recovery Effectiveness Through Digital Innovation and Inclusive Oversight,” contributes to ongoing global discussions on strengthening asset recovery systems, transparency, international cooperation, digital innovation, and inclusive oversight mechanisms within anti-corruption frameworks.
Published as an official conference document under reference CAC/COSP/IRG/2026/NGO/5, the paper highlights practical recommendations for improving asset tracing, recovery, accountability, and the transparent utilization of returned assets for development outcomes.
